Announcing Minecraft The Wild Update – Brings Frogs, Fireflies & More

Publisher Microsoft and developer Mojang have announced the Minecraft The Wild update to Minecraft Live 2021, confirming that frogs, fireflies and more are coming to the game.

While the new Minecraft The Wild update won’t arrive until 2022, with the previously detailed Cliffs & Caves update getting its second part later in 2021.

After updating all the caves and cliffs, it was clear that we weren’t ready to go inside just yet. The great outdoors still challenge us, which is why 2022 will bring you Minecraft The Wild update!

Cory Scheviak, Agnes Larsson and Brandon Pearce of Team Vanilla showed us some of the beautiful art concepts, and as you can see The Wild update will bring new gameplay, more depth and a lot of fun stuff. at play. Like mud and mangroves. NO MORE SWAMP! My natural habitat is slowly taking over the Overworld. In addition to different types of frogs and tadpoles, we also get boats with chests! This is something that many people have been asking for a long time, and we understand why. What could be better than an aquatic picnic? Or maybe you just want to bring your dirt blocks with you when you go to the lake. I know I do.

We have also learned that Deep Dark and the Guardian will be included in The Wild Update, which means we have to wait until 2022 to come out of our real skin and that of players in fear. On the one hand, yes. Waiting is boring, and delays are never fun. Believe me, if my cat’s food bowl is empty for a second too long, I can say goodbye to all of my leggings. But on the other hand, this delay happened because the Deep Dark is not only very deep and very, very dark – but it’s also very big. And we want to make it as big, dark, deep, and absolutely terrifying as possible. So while we wait, let’s all grab a needle and thread, and get to work fixing my poor leggings, because that reasoning didn’t translate when I was explaining the empty bowl to Lilla Blå.

Agnes and her fellow developer Henrik Kniberg looked at caves, cliffs, and just about everything. The first part of the Caves & Cliffs update was released this summer, which, among other cool things, added axolotls, goats and shiny squid to the Overworld ecosystem. Splitting the update into two parts might not have been part of the original plan, but it had a very positive side effect. Since we got a lot of comments, feedback, and of course fanart, after part one we were able to incorporate that into the work of part two. We always aim to provide updates tailored to our community – you make the game what it is – so it was a really cool experience for the team.

Speaking of Part II, we also got a little taste of what’s to come in Part 2 of the update! Not only will we reach new heights, but we are also digging very deep. That’s right, it means that the height of the world will be extended by increasing the limits at the very top and the very bottom of the game. Therefore, it adds new mountains and caves, the latter being more complex than ever. Now, I can finally admit that I got lost during my caving missions without feeling the slightest discomfort. Who could blame me for spending all my time in a cave shaped like pasta? Nobody, that’s who.

As a writer my instinct is to miss it on my own most of the time. But if the situation calls for it, I can see the usability could be appropriate. Bringing together Java and Bedrock is exactly one of those occasions, and how important! Launched exclusively with Game Pass for PC on November 2, 2021, the Minecraft PC Bundle unites Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Windows in the same launcher. Having both editions means you can cross-play as you like, even with consoles and mobiles! Your days of picking and choosing are over, except when it comes to snacks. Now all you have to do is fire up the same edition as the Minecrafter you want to play with and start working on your soft and smooth gravel block builds!

You can access it through your Game Pass subscription for PC or Ultimate. Conditions and exclusions apply. The Xbox Game Pass for PC catalog varies over time, region, and device. For playing on Windows 10 and 11 devices. Not supported on Windows 10 in S mode and on ARM devices. See for details.

At Mojang Studios, we are all constantly in awe of the creativity of the Minecraft community. In fact, we were so inspired that our innovation team worked on tools that will help nurture this talent and open up the playing field even further by making it accessible to everyone. The Minecraft Learning Portal aims to teach and inspire new and existing creators to create their own maps by putting guides, information banks, and tutorials in one place. One of those tutorials is this Blockbench demo in which Jannis creates a grizzly. I will watch it on repeat as I ask for more bears since my very first day at this place. I just want a sun bear to sit and contemplate my constructions, is that too much to ask? No! And now I can make one myself, so take it, developers! I come for your work!

Since I discovered the Glare, Alloy, and Copper Golem, I have campaigned to include them all in the game. My initial goal was to make them Übermobs, allowing them to dominate all of them. other mobs and players as they roamed the wilderness. But I am not unreasonable. Unfortunately, I was told bluntly that only one can win, and I had nothing to say on these matters. Despite everything, we would like to thank you, the incredible community, for voting because I am delighted with the result! In fact, let’s keep the party going with the fanart! Send your drawing, sculpture, construction, musical creation or whatever makes you sing [email protected], for a chance to be featured on the community page! If that wasn’t enough, you can also get your hands on some exclusive merchandise featuring our illustrious winner here!

Cue the confetti, because your winning mob is none other than allay! This delicate dancer is not only a lover of music and notepads, but also an avid collector. If you give an item to the alloy, it will bring back similar or similar items, provided they are able to pick them up. In other words, the allay will not mine or manufacture things as you like. Why? Well, then you’d have to rename the game TheyToil, and that’s too much paperwork.

Minecraft is available for Windows PC, Linux, Mac (all via the official site), Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, Amazon Fire, Amazon Fire, and Fire TV.
