Here is an overview of the game.

light fairy tale

light fairy tale is a turn-based Japanese-style RPG series set in a dying underworld ruled by an evil empire.

The goal of this project is to bring back the immersion and the emotion of the JRPGs of the 90s on the current platforms with the expected evolution both in terms of design and technique.

Each episode is a standalone game, lasting approximately 3 hours for a first playthrough, double that for full completion of all achievements and secrets.

Episode 1 is the beginning of the adventure. Play as Haru and his childhood friend Kuroko as they fight a dark empire in the underground “lower town”.

  • Classic turn-based battles that take place directly on the field.
  • Modern real-time 3D graphics.
  • Cute chibi characters.
  • Playable in English, French and Japanese.
  • Enhanced on Xbox One X / Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 Pro / PlayStation 5.
  • Support for ultra-wide and stereoscopic 3D on PC.

A bit lazy and very naive, Haru is nonetheless a benevolent soul and knows how to get by when needed.

She may be petite and cute (sometimes), but make no mistake: Kuroko is extremely capable in battle and always ready to step up. She also likes technology – maybe a little too much.

A long time ago, the world was prosperous. Technology and science were quite advanced and people lived in great pleasure and occasional excess. However, it proved their undoing when the world as they knew it, seemingly in an instant, was destroyed forever.

Desperate and desperate, the survivors of civilization resorted to fleeing to the only place on the planet where it was still possible to live – deep underground. And so there they stayed and survived.

Thousands of years later, the history of the surface has been forgotten, reduced to dust and the richness of the past lost to time. Even the word “sky” itself has lost all meaning…

And then, a young boy named Haru wakes up one day, fleeting dreams of vast green plains and a clear blue void locked in his memory; deep-rooted, unwavering…and pushing him to know exactly what he saw.

Now he must embark on a grand adventure to uncover the mysteries of the lost world, battling the rulers of this dystopian society and beyond with the help of a mysterious silver-haired girl…
