There aren’t many decades like the 1980s when it comes to pure nostalgia bait. Pop culture has long tapped into ’80s nostalgia, and it’s easy to see why. Even people who didn’t grow up in the 80s seem to be fascinated by the culture of the decade: mixing tapes, arcade machines, neon lights, bright clothes, absurd action films and the ever-looming threat of annihilation. nuclear. It makes sense that there are war games set in the 80s, and so there are plenty of cold war games to come in 2022.

What I mean is, I noticed an interesting trend while researching upcoming game releases of 2022. There are A LOT of Cold War games coming in 2022 and beyond. Specifically, many Cold War-themed video games are set in the ’80s.

It’s time to choose a cool high school football team name to shout like a battle cry, because the cold war is getting hot again in 2022.
